Young Boss

A national study in 2011 showed that American students between grades 5 and 12 overwhelmingly feel that they want to be their own boss while they are not receiving entrepreneurship education in school. Considering the virtual nature of business in today’s market, why are we not focusing more on teaching low-income youth to navigate these murky digital waters so that they may compete with their privileged peers? The PYE fills in this education gap, cultivating youth entrepreneurship specifically in low-income communities.
